This is for everyone that enjoys reading about horses. Please post here any equine books whether fiction/non fiction, biographies, teaching/horsemanship books are worth reading and perhaps give you own mini review. So get reading and posting. Look forward to reading the reviews!

Had one of those days :os and need cheering up. Can anyone recommend any horse books that are worth getting? Don't mind if they're humour, autobiograhies or history.

Having been reading up on the net about the history of arena letters, does anyone know of any good books on the history of dressage that are worth getting?

Can anyone recommend any horse training books in natural horsemanship please. Amazon is good but doesn't always have a review or a chapter I can have a glance at. Thanks x

Currently reading Kelly Marks's Perfect Confidence book and finding it really useful. A good all round beginners book I found was Zoe St. Aubyn's the riding handbook.

Hi everyone! These days I'm less of the fiction fancier and tend to read (and re-read) the instructional texts. I periodically mention books on my blog, and recently decided to add a link at the top of my blog entitled "books." Here, I list all the books that I've referred to in my blog. You can enter any of the titles (or part of the titles) into the search box in the right column, and read the post that refers to them. Happy reading and I look forward to new discoveries here. www.reflectionsonriding.com

Wondering if anyone has recently read any good horse books? I frequently go back to the horsey fiction books I have (National Velvet, any Pullein-Thompsons, Jilly Cooper(I am not ashamed!) and another favourite - We Couldn't Leave Dinah by Mary Treadgold. I find they can help motivate me with the horses when things are feeling a bit flat.
