It Feels Like An Oscar Winning Year by Teri Warner

Well when I started 2017 working from home for a fabulous PR and marketing company, I had no idea that I would be seeing the year out running my own livery and training yard. I won’t lie, it hasn’t been easy but I couldn’t have asked for a better team of liveries and clients to enjoy the year with.

Working with my mum is so special, she is an amazing person and inspires me every single day… in fact, I know I couldn’t do it without her and I owe her so much.

Within this year we have welcomed our first liveries, seen a new block of stables go up, watched our amazing arena go in, welcomed a gorgeous project youngster from Spain and finally finishing the year happily announcing we are now full! Wow, how amazing does that feel…

Looking forward to next year, I am super excited to get Alex fit and get started with Tolón, I also start the year with a classy selection of livery horses to school and work with… I have a good feeling about 2018!

Since arriving 6 weeks ago, Tolón has now accepted rugs, back pads, boots and a bridle… considering how nervous and thin he was I am so pleased with his progress and I can’t wait to see how he progresses into the spring…

In fear of sounding like I’ve won an Oscar, I would like to thank everyone who has joined us for a clinic, clear round, livery or just a cuppa… Thank you…

I also have to say Steve and Bev Ruby, the owners of Merrywood Farm, have been an amazing support and I love being on the farm and learning new farming skills from Steve.

So I sign off, thanking you all for reading my blog updates and I can’t wait to share the excitement of 2018 with you all…. you never know I might finally make that competitive comeback!!!!

Thank you Haynet for letting me share this exciting journey and record it as I go…. Wishing you all a very Happy New Year xxx
