Seeing Chanel broke my heart. How can anyone do that to a horse? And why are horses being sold for a fiver? It was shocking when they were driving through that housing estate to see horses tethered up in peoples front gardens. Its mad.

Indescrimate breeding. There are too many horses in this country and not enough people to look after them. Ive been reading over the last year that Charities are inundated and under great pressure financially. Cant see it ever changing sadly :(

I so wish I was experienced enough to rehome a horse. But I'm afraid I'd do it more harm than good. :( :(

Yep I watched it too - horses for a fiver! Shocking but unfortunately with times so hard and the costs of looking after a horse rising, this is the fall out of it.

Finlaysmum is right horses (as every other money making creature) are overbred (17,000 foals born every year in the race industry alone with two thirds of those never making the race grade so end up sold on!) Unfotunately this leads to people who have not the means or knowledge required buying animals & sadly as always it's the animals who suffer. :(
