I have been asked how do you add additional photos to a blog post on Haynet. It is I'm afraid a little bit complicated but hopefully here I can show you how. This is something that I am trying to make easier with the web hosting, so hopefully in the not too distant future we can add more photos with ease!
At the moment using PHOTO BLOG you can only add one photo from your computers files to a blog post. In order to add additional photos to a post you need to click TEXT BLOG. Here in the toolbar you will see an image icon next to the size of font tab (Normal).
Click on to this and then an image properties box comes up. Here you need to add the URL code of your image.( If you are sratching your heads about URL codes I will speak about this later). So paste the code into the URL section and then the image will appear in the picture box on the right. You can adjust the height and width to its left to make it smaller or larger. You can also move it left or right in "Align" so it can be placed in your text blog post where you want it.
With this picture I have aligned it to the left so that I can type my text beside it. To the right then you will then be able to type your text to the left (I hope this makes sense!)
So with the URL image code you can add as many pictures as you like to your blog post. Now I know some of you may not of heard of a URL image code.
Every photo that is on the internet, has a URL code. Click on any image on the internet and then right click the mouse on the image and you will see "COPY IMAGE URL" click this and then paste it into the URL section of the photo tab.
Now if you want to use your own images I'm afraid the only way is to upload your photos to a photo storage site like Flickr or Photobucket. I use Photobucket and have alot of my personal pictures stored there. It's also a good way to store your images on the internet incase you have a virus or problem with your hard drive of your computer. (yes my computer crashed a couple of years ago and I lost all my pictures....) When your photos are stored in this way, you simply right click the image you want to use on your blog post and this gives you "COPY IMAGE URL" which is your images URL code. Simply cut and paste it into the image tab and then apply to your blog post.
Aplogies if this all sounds really complicated and a hassle! I have requested to make this simpler so hopefully soon it will be. By all means private message me with any further queries but I hope this has made it a little clearer!
