Finally Made It Out Today With The Horses!

So thankfully the snow and ice has all but disappeared after a long 10 days slipping and sliding around. It just makes so much extra work and the only advantage for me was that Zebs legs cleared of mud fever which is what he needed. Now I'm back slapping on various creams and oils as the mud returns....

This morning though, it almost felt spring like. The sun started to come out, the birds were singing and it was a tropical 8deg! We had planned to go out for just half an hour but as we got going, it was such a lovely morning we headed off around our "big block". Still patches of slush puppy ice about, but the roads were clear. Both Zeb and Shamus were a bit fresh for the first 10/15 mins but soon settled. Lucky no major spooks or hazards today apart from a guy on his quad bike zooming up the lane loaded up with scary bottles and what almost looked like a gun...... (joy)

The daffodils are definately springing up everywhere and it was just so nice to get back out riding at last. Long may it continue!
